End Well

The challenge: End Well brings together people across disciplines to ignite conversations about how we live and how we die at an annual symposium. For the past three years, guests have applauded the innovative content but expressed a desire for more opportunities to connect with other participants.

The solution: Despite limitations presented by the physical constraints of the concert hall, participants needed opportunities to actively engage with each other and connect across areas of interest. With that in mind, we designed lunch-time “affinity groups,” where participants identified a theme they wanted to explore in intimate groups. We also designed moments throughout the day that reminded participants to connect with themselves beyond their professional role and reflect as humans who confront the same challenges with end-of-life care.

My role:  I collaborated with the End Well team as both a writer and experience designer. In an ongoing effort to build brand awareness, I partnered with End Well founder, Dr. Shoshana Ungerleider, to develop thoughtful, candid articles about the importance of bringing conversations about death into the foreground.
